” Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
This scripture gives us the instruction to cast our cares upon the Lord. This may seem like a simple instruction while in reality it can be one of the hardest things to do.I don’t know about you, but I say Lord I am giving this to you, then I find myself trying to figure it out on my own. This is so frustrating when we try to do something only God can do. We say, we trust, but do we really? Letting go and letting God take the wheel is such a difficult thing for most of us to do.
Human nature, says, I can handle it. I know I have personally messed up many things by trying to handle them my way .In my walk with the Lord, every time I get in Gods way it ends up making things harder and take longer than they should.
The more we know of the love of our heavenly Father, the more we will trust him and truly be able to cast our cares. Our daily devotion to Jesus Christ and Gods word is a sure way to reveal the heart of the Father to us. It is a relationship that feeds us, not religion.
The heart of the Father is for his children to trust him. When we know his character, his unfailing love, and fellowship with him, then trusting him will become so much easier. When you KNOW how much someone loves you, then trusting them is easy, right?
God, I pray that we all would search for you more. I pray that Matthew 6:33 would be our reality. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”.
Teach us Lord, we can’t do it without you! Philippians 4:13 tells us that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives us the strength. Jesus give us your strength to pursue the Father and trust him more! We want to cast our cares, and leave them in Jesus name!
Exercise daily, walk with the Lord,
