Hold Fast To Your Confession

Pretty woman in sunhat looking at camera and making shh gesture

I know in this walk with Christ there are days we all feel like giving up, right? It is easy to hold fast and have the right confession when all is going smoothly, but the testing of our faith comes when everything in this natural world screams the opposite of the promise.

“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”  ~ Hebrews 10:23

When God shows us a promise that is the exciting part, but waiting on that promise to manifest can be some of the most difficult seasons as believers.

God tells us to count it all joy when we fall into various trials in James 1, but there is a reason He gives us this instruction. Ask the Father in Jesus name to give you a right perspective. If we are able to see past this moment and the eternal good it will produce in us then we can rejoice even in the difficulties.

“All things are working together for the good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

That is the trick of the enemy is to get us to focus only on the natural facts of a situation, because what you believe you will receive. This is a truth that has been proven by science. Take a look at Dr. Caroline leafs teaching on the brain. It is amazing how what we meditate on can actually make us physically sick.

“For as a man thinks in his heart so is he.”~ Proverbs 23:7

This is why satan fights us so hard to get us focused on the wrong thoughts.

Colossians 3:2   “set your mind on things above and not on things of this earth.”

The word states to set your mind on things above and not on things of this earth. Beloved children of God do not lose heart in these times of difficulty.

Galatians 6:9 has been one of my personal life verses. ” And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in DUE season we shall reap if we faint not.”

God tells us this because he KNOWS we are tempted to grow weary and give up! This works both ways though.

When you are in a sin you do not always see the consequences right away. So while your sinning and are having a good time the enemy is whispering to you, see nothing bad is happening, see how much fun this is?

After all you only live once and you should do what feels right. Your not hurting anyone, so whats the big deal? Everyone sins, right? So the enemy is trying to convince you not to repent but to stay in the sin.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. This works either way, whether we are sowing good seeds or bad, we will reap!

Then when you do confess your sins and repent and go the other direction, satan harasses you for all the mistakes you have made the rest of your life to get you to give up before you receive what God has for you.

He whispers, God would not do that for you. God is mad at you. Remember what you did back here? Sister Gail believed that and it never happened for her. The devil will assault your mind with fiery darts hoping you allow them to penetrate by receiving them and meditating on them.

Then we must choose. Each one of us has to decide what we believe and what we put our faith and trust in, The words of the enemy or the words of our Father God? I have a podcast on this site about that exact thing.

Do not give up or give in my friends! Stand on Gods promises without wavering! Hold fast to your confession of faith and NEVER quit, because God is faithful!
